Although I have a full-time job these days, I still work occasional nights at the auction house…and I definitely don’t do it for the money. I LIVE for auction nights and this past auction, I lucked out.
I’ve been going on and on about how I’ve wanted a dutch door for the puppy room because they’re much more aesthetically pleasing than your run-of-the-mill metal doggie gate. Before each auction, Ryan goes online to scope out what is going to be auctioned off that night. This past week, to my delight, he spotted my door!
I waited and waited and waited the entire night for it to be held up and had planned in advance to go up pretty high on price since I wasn’t planning on reselling. We ended up winning it for a mere $20 and had to buy $18 worth of new tension hardware. When we brought it home, it was about an inch too wide, so I whipped out my trusty makita jig saw and CAREFULLY went to town.
