postcards: NYC for our birthdays

I just returned from an almost week-long trip to NYC with my sweet Boy. You know a vacation with the significant other went well when he whines, “I don’t want to leave this place,” as our taxi driver pulls up to La Guardia…

Day One: We arrived at noon and I immediately took him to 1849 for a beer and then to my old apartment/St. Demos Square for a slice of Joe’s pizza. Afterward we went to Times Square, Rockafeller Center, and rode the elevator to the “Top of the Rock”for the best views of the city. Then we headed to Central Park, stopping by FAO Shwartz on the way [his request] to buy a ball. Our ball happens to be yellow with red fire trucks and I love it.  We played in the park until it was dark and headed back downtown for dinner, italian street festivals and darts at The Edge. Day One was a complete success.
