I have a lot to say.

I feel as of late, I’ve posted a lot of pictures but haven’t used many of my words. For that, I apologize. I started this blog to write…and write, I must! Prepare yourself for a rambling of great lengths – and maybe a few pictures…

Over the past month, I’ve expanded my occupation list from “writer/organizer” to “writer/organizer/antique lover/decorator”. Now, in addition to being a Nashville Lifestyles monthly contributor and my weekly Edit Your Closet jaunts, I’m the co-owner of a staging company called Wingback Staging and opened an antique booth with my mother – commonly known as The Burlap Rabbit. Juggling all four of these ventures has been a circus act in itself – especially adding The Boy and our puppies into the mix. Even my escalade has been affected by these recent additions in occupation. On any given day, instead of finding friends in the back of my car, you will find furniture. I only cart furniture at this time – humans please find other modes of transportation. Furniture I’ve bought for staging, furniture I am selling, furniture that needs to be tweaked…needless to say I’m exhausted and wonderfully content. My creative outlets have been pushed to the limit and my brain now runs a mile a minute. Ideas are constantly swirling around in my head and I’m as productive as I’ve ever been. It is an exhausting/liberating feeling and I’ve never been happier  [WHOA – emotional gush – my apologies]. Anyway…

recent non-work-related happenings…

My musically talented friend, Tyler Flowers that I’ve mentioned a few times before has moved into Pleasant Valley with us. It’s nice for The Boy to not only have an additional male around – but he also happens to be one of his best friends from childhood – HOW CONVENIENT! It’s also nice to have acoustic guitar as my daily background music. I like. On another note…I went to an estate sale this past Saturday and the person that died was named Frank Rutledge. What are the chances? I bought a wooden Rutledge sign and placed it above my window in my room.

I received two Fifi Lapin prints in the mail today and they were sent from Fifi, herself…all the way from the UK. One is 5/100 and one is 7/100. I can’t wait to get these framed. I think I might frame the envelope as well. Also, since I’m constantly antique-ing, I’ve started a fascination with pitchers. I recently purchased a retro Iced Tea pitcher and a gorgeous glass pitcher with a copper handle – complete with hidden ice compartment for lemonade and such. If it serves liquid, I would like to own it. Thanks. Finally, I painted my bathroom cabinet to match the walls and ceiling. It might seem like a lot of black but once I get a shower curtain, hand towels, and bathroom mat in KELLY GREEN…how luxurious will that look? Also…those sconces have GOT to go. Okay, I’ll stop now.

now for the pictures…
