binge blog: topic: apparel

I’ve found that in order to write, eloquently, I need to be in the ”writing spirit”. When these eloquent times come, I binge-blog [not so eloquent after all, eh?]. I shoot out about 4 or 5 postings at a time or I’ll combine a wide array of topics that I’ve wanted to discuss for a while into one, single posting. Afterward you won’t hear from me for a few days. With that said….here we go…
1) I really need a hunting jacket to add to my wardrobe…
Not exactly like a camoflauge jacket that I’d don during a hunting expedition for deer. But more of the army green/navy, waxed jackets you’d find at your local Barbour or Beretta stores. I scanned in this page from Marie Claire to further my point. There is something old-world about a nice waxed coat that I love. As you can see…I’ve marked my favorites.

2) When I was younger…
I always wished we had school uniforms. I’m not sure if it was my love of navys, greens, and plaids, but I voted ”YEA” whenever the topic came up. How much easier would it be to roll out of bed if your outfit was pre-determined? This school-girl themed photo is from Proenza Schouler – and it would definitely be something I’d wear on my first day of school. I, occasionally, enjoy rocking the preppy, believe it or not….
3) Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is occurring…
…and Betsey went for a Wild, Wild, West Theme (gothic style). She even had Kelly Osbourne as a model. She’s really gone back to using her vintage prints and I like. I like a lot. I really want the dress on the left with ostriche silhouettes. Gotta LOVE B.J.
4) My room is always changing…
It’s my nest – where I stay most of the time when I’m home. Therefore, I’m always getting ideas of how to improve it. I’ve had an issue with my purses [I have too many] – I can’t find a place to store them properly. I thought that maybe purging a few would help but I’ve narrowed them down as far as I can go – I cannot get rid of a single one. Therefore, I had to come up with visible, appropriate storage that perhaps didn’t consist of a bin in the bottom of my closet. Therefore, I took this old, metal basket and bolted it to the wall to form my new purse basket. It’s see-through, so I can see what options I have. Love it. P.S. Do you like my new red slip/crinolin combination? I found it at a vintage store…very happy about that.
