Leaping Lemming!

As an antique dealer, of course, I’m a huge fan of Etsy. I’ve don’t have my own shop, but if I’m looking for a very specific item needed for my home or for a friend, I turn to Etsy first. One of my favorite shops is called The Leaping Lemming – which is owned/operated by a married couple in Idaho. They have a lot of the same sort of items I like to sell in my own booths and I think we’d get along swimmingly. See how cool they are?

Greg and Dee Ann Boydston not only sell interesting pieces, but Greg writes a fiction short story for each item that they list. The idea came when visitors regularly made nostalgic comments about the vintage items in their home.

“Memories are jogged and stories ensue. ‘Grandma used one of these,’ or ‘I had one of these when I was a kid.’ Taking that cue, we realized that everything has a story (or needs one) so at the Leaping Lemming, you’ll find a short story about most items on our site. Some stories are based on true events while others are outright yarns. You’ll have to decided which is which.”

I just bought a galvanized chicken feeder to use for table decor. Some of my other favorite items right now: Vintage Bread BoxNiagra Falls Pennants, and this Coleman Beverage Cooler.
