postcards: Paris, France

OUI! In pareeee, we stayed at this apartment located in Le Marais [aka coolest area of paris ever]. Although we were a hike to most of the touristy spots, we were in an area scattered with cool shops and cafes. Upon arrival, we immediately headed to Montmarte to down some fondue and wine [served in baby bottles!] at Le Refuge Des Fondues. Immediately followed by the Eiffel Tower [doesn’t mean we can’t get our tourist on].

One of my favorite parts of this trip was wandering through the Louvre and into the Tuileries. We sat on a bench and people-watched. A man walked by with a cart full of wooden sailboats. I’m still regretting not purchasing one and somehow shipping it home.

We obviously hit up the must-see shops like Merci and Colette and during this process, stumbled upon the Kilo Shop. We ended up stocking up on vintage flannels here. Buying your vintage clothing by weight? Yes. please.

Favorite dining experiences? Other than the 30 cafes we stopped at to drink iced americanos and ham/cheese sammies… we had lunch at Grazie and dinner at Caffe Soprano – the bruchetta was ridiculous.
