I’m not sure why, but I’ve been wanting to mess with paper mache for a while now. I remember making it in art class as a child and I believe that because of that experience, I’ve pinned it as a childish craft. However, it doesn’t have to be. It is great for decorative pieces at parties or perhaps a simple lighting fixture. I bought the large round balloons in a pack of two at the dollar store and made a glue/water mixture for the paste. We hung the balloons from the ceiling in the kitchen and put down a drop cloth. It was calming and very, very sticky. Now…what to make with our dried creations? Paint them? I oddly like them in their newspaper state. For now, mine will sit on my printer.
