cheapy, diy garden lighting

I don’t remember where I found this idea…but I loved it and kept my eyes peeled for the necessary ingredient: the white glass globe. I purchased mine from the downtown antique mall but you can find them at just about any thrift or antique shop for under $5. They were once used on top of these ugly light fixtures that nobody uses anymore…but the glass is pretty so people keep selling them. The only other item you’ll  need to pull this off is a strand of white christmas lights. I cleaned my globe with windex before, just in case. After that, simply stuff the entire globe with the strand of lights and plug her in. Ta-dah!

Quite magical, if you ask me.
